Watersportsmallorca is on Alcúdia’s Bay. Surrounded by S'Albufera's Natural Park, Playa de Muro has one of the longest sandy beaches of the island on Mallorca. Besides being one of the nicest, it preserves the Playa des Comú close to its dunes a protected virgin beach. This zone has a wide range of Hotels and Resorts besides multiple services like bars, shops, restaurants, beach-bars and other complementary services.
Safety has always been a priority in Playa de Muro, with first aid services considered one of the best in the country, making this one of the safest beaches in Spain. Year after year safety services have received several awards and prizes.

Parking for the disabled and emergency vehicles
There are signs in parking zones for different accesses to the beaches, where a surveillance tower is located. In every access there are two disabled parking’s and one for emergencies.

Security for Children and the disabled
In Playa de Muro, users have at their disposal bracelets to facilitate the search of missing people. The bracelet has a code with information needed in the event of a missing person, that is only known by the Public Rescue Service.
This service, from which children benefit more, also disabled people and elders, can be requested in all the modules at first aid huts and surveillance towers.
The Rescue and Security Service
The rescue and security services have a specialized team and up-to-date equipment.
Among their resources they have:
- A staff of 16 lifeguards, 12 of them are on the beach everyday.
- Fully equipped Firstaid.
- 1 provisional heliport.
- An all-terrain vehicle.
- 1 quad.
- 8 vigilance towers.
- 8 masts in order to indicate the security level in the sea for swimmers, besides their own masts on each tower.
- 8 rescue boards.
- 2 jet-skis with their stretcher trailer.
- 3 DEAS (defibrillator).
- Meteorological stations.
- Transmission teams (walkis, PDA, etc.)
WC and showers
Playa de Muro has 8 public WC and showers.
Disabled access
In Playa de Muro, there are up to 8 footbridges for people with disabilities. Besides, a service of wheelchairs available for the whole day.
Police aquatic security
Playa de Muro possesses a unique police unit in the Balearic Islands: the UPAM (Police Aquatic Unit of Muro). A special unit of the City Police that provides services for maritime safety.
Information boards
In all the accesses of Playa de Muro beaches, there are information boards showing information about protected species location and different services also other information of interest.
Horizontal and vertical mark off on the beaches
Playa de Muro have buoys in order to mark the bathroom zones and the sailing channels for nautical-sports activities.
Security coverage for schools and residential centres
Every day on the Muro beaches we are visited by summer schools and residencial centres with 24 hours notice security and SOS is increased and also wheelchairs made available
