Watersportsmallorca has his own Nautical Sports center in Playa de Muro, in S’Albufera Avenue Postal Code 07408. The sailing school is located on the beach just in front of the hotel complex APARTHOTEL ESPERANZA PARK – PLAYA ESPERANZA RESORT.
2.- What is the sailing school Schedule?
The sailing school is opened daily from 10:00h to 18:00h from March 24th to November 4th. From July 1st to August 31st, the schedule increases from 10:00h to 19:00h.

In order to book any activity, you can contact us as indicated in the previous question and include: name, age, phone number, e-mail, type of service, start date and navigator level. You will receive an answer as fast as we can.

Through our website by Pay Pal, Credit Card or by Bank Transfer.

6.- What schedule do the activities and courses have?
Watersportsmallorca opens daily from 10:00h to 18:00h, and in July and August until 19:00h

From 10:00h to 19:00h, it is advisable to set up a previous meeting.

7.- What the course packets include?
The course includes all the necessary material for the booked activity. Boards, sails, kites, catamarans, wetsuits, harnesses, lifejackets… Besides the user accident insurance, the compulsory civil liability insurance and rescue if necessary. Not included are any damages to personal property, or school equipment if material is rented without an instructor.
8.- How many students are in a group course?
WINDSURF: maximum 5 students per instructor.
KITESURF: maximum 2 students per instructor.
CATAMARAN: maximum 2 students per boat.
SURF: maximum 6 students per instructor.
SUP: maximum 6 students per instructor.
9.- What days can I start a course?
In Watersportsmallorca you can start a course of any discipline any day of the week.
10.- How can I get the VDWS license?
Each discipline offers the possibility of having, together with the course, the VDWS International license which confirms your training and allows you to rent material. The student’s book is delivered, where there is a theory with the book contents and a written exam. In this way, the VDWS license is obtained at the end of the course. The courses last in order for you to get the VDWS license depending on the student’s level or if this one is a beginner.
11.- At what age can children start to Windsurf or Kitesurf?
We advise a minimum age of 6 years old to start a Windsurf course. For practising Kitesurf, we advise a minimum weight of 35-40 kg. In each case, we offer you a test lesson so that students can try it before.
12.- Para los niños/niñas, qué es mejor Windsurf o Surf?
Any of both disciplines are the best one for them. Windsurf has a wide level of material, nomenclature, knowledge… in Mallorca not only are there daily waves, but every week too.
13.- In what language are the courses done?
At Watersportsmallorca we can run the courses in ENGLISH, GERMAN, SPANISH, CATALAN, ITALIAN, FRENCH AND PORTUGUESE. Occasionally and depending on the nationality of the instructors hired, it can be another language besides the above mentioned, like Dutch, Polish and Russian.
14.- When is there wind in Playa de Muro for practicing Kitesurf?
From the beginning of May to the end of October there are thermal winds up to midday, which blow with an intensity between 10 and 18 knots. It is a constant wind and without gusts, which decrease by mid afternoon and stopping every night.
During the months of May, June, July and August there is a 90% possibility of having daily winds. September and October have a 50% possibilities of having daily wind as it depends on the squalls on the Balearic Islands. The rest of the months, from November to April, can be from moderate to strong winds in any direction, practically every week.
